Maria joined the Stertz Construction team in 2016. She brings 15 years of experience in property management and construction administration to the team. She keeps our office running!

Dan Boveington, Project Manager

Dan joined the Stertz Construction team in 2016. He has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and brings a great deal of expertise and experience to every project. Dan has specializes in all facets of home and commercial construction including electrical, plumbing, roofing, and more. He brings a professional and positive attitude to every project. 

Morgan Bojorquez, Project Coordinator

Morgan joined the Stertz Construction team in 2015 after working in animal welfare and rescue for 15 years. She will help you design and select the finishing touches for your project. Morgan is a Tucson native and is proud to announce the birth of the newest member of the Stertz/Bojorquez crew April 8, 2016!

Cindy Malec, Designer

Cindy joined the Stertz Construction team in 2016 after moving to Tucson from Florida where she spent 3 years designing kitchens and baths in Tampa. She will design your project with a keen eye for style!


Rick Stertz, President
Rick Stertz has been designing, consulting and building in Tucson, around the country and the world for over thirty years.

He began his career as a cabinet builder for his father in Wisconsin while studying architecture and engineering at the University of Minnesota. He settled in Tucson’s warmer climate in the early 1980’s. Rick’s restaurant consulting and designs include Barcelona Restaurants in the Phoenix area, the original Café Terra Cotta at St. Philips Plaza, and multiple restaurants for the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons worldwide. He served as the Design Architect and Development Manager for the Wilds Condominiums and The Crossings at Horse Ranch in Colorado, as well as for Classic Car Spa with eight locations in Southern Arizona.

Stertz Construction was founded in 2008 fueled by Rick’s passion for historic renovation. He respects Tucson’s rich culture and is meticulous in designing seamless residential additions and renovations marrying vintage and modern architecture. 

 Miguel Bojorquez, Project Manager

Miguel has been with Stertz Construction since its inception. He attended Pima Community College to study Chemistry after moving to the U.S. from Baja Sur, Mexico. Miguel has served our team in all facets of the industry. He specializes in historic renovation, residential remodel and new builds, as well as management of our team of Stertz Construction Technicians and Subcontractors.
